DENNIS – Flossie Marie Crosby, 86, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at Tishomingo Manor in Iuka. She was born April 22, 1924, in Mississippi to John D. and Lela Adams Adair. She was a devout Christian loving mother and grandmother, and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Dennis with Bro. Jerry Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Joel Cemetery at Dennis. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by three daughters, Lou Gasaway of Dennis, Judy Butler (Mike) of Dennis and Evelyn Keller of Cherokee, Ala.; three sons, Johnny Crosby of Dennis, Jack Crosby (Gloria) of Rienzi and Mark Crosby (Janet) of Russellville, Ala.; one brother, Josh Adair (Elaine) of Hodgkins, Ill.; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Mack Crosby; and her parents, four sisters, one brother, a grandson and two sons-in-law.
Pallbearers will be Chris Adams, Donnie Gasaway, Scott Conwill, Tony Crosby, Chan Gasaway and John Crosby. Honorary pallbearers will be Garrett Adams, Walker Adams, Mason Thompson, Dean Davis and Jasper Keller.
Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. today at Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Dennis and until service time on Friday.
