Nellie Rachel Davis age 98 of Fries, Virginia passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018 in the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Davis was born in Overton County, Tennessee on April 27, 1919 to Jesse Wilburn and Ethel Vaughan Bilbrey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Garnett M. Davis; two daughters Faye Davis Roberts and Donna Davis and two sons Donald Davis and Ravon Davis.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law Peggy Jordan; Brenda and Larry Bryant all of Galax, Virginia; son Alton Davis of Fries, Virginia; one brother James Bilbrey of Max Meadows, Virginia; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church with Pastor Bobbie Dunford and the Rev. Lee Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church.
