Willard Cecil Henley, 90, Rte. 1, Eugene, died Thursday, Oct. 13, 1983, at Charles E. Still Hospital in Jefferson City. A lifetime resident of the Spring Garden community, he was born there on Dec 3, 1892, to William R. and Idella Sherer Henley. On Aug 4, 1913, he was married at Spring Garden to Ada Catherine Miller who died Dec 6, 1979

Mr. Henley served as a director of the Spring Garden Cemetery for many years. He was a member of the Spring Garden Baptist Church.

Survivors include a brother, Parker Henley of Eugene; three sisters, Burie Blackburn of Jefferson City, Lizzie Hill of Boonville and Vinnie Binkley of Jefferson City, and five nieces and nephews. A son, Harold C. Henley, died Oct 20, 1935.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Carpenter officiating. Burial was in Spring Garden Cemetery with nephews serving as pallbearers.
