Obituary: Ernest H. Freebury, 70 of Kalispell, died at Brendan House Thursday morning following a lengthy illness with emphysema. He was born February 2/18/1919 in Conrad, a son of Arthur and Laura Freebury. He received his education there, graduating from Conrad High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Following his honorable discharge from the Army, he came to Kalispell and was employed as a parts man. He was employed with Manion Motors for 36 years prior to retiring due to disability. He was of the Christian faith, and was a member of Disabled American Veterans. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Donald Freebury (Died 10/1980 Montana) of Livingston, and a granddaughter Laura. On June 20, 1948, he was married to Lilly Ness in Kalispell, and is now survived by her at the family home. He is also survived by his son, Ernie Freebury and granddaughter, Nicki of Bigfork; his daughter, Linda McGee and grandchildren Mickey, Terry, and Mylissa, all of Las Vegas: a great-granddaughter, Laura; two brothers, Arthur and Vernon Freebury, both in Washington; an aunt, Pauline Fowler of Polson, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Johnson Mortuary Chapel, with Glen Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Glacier Memorial Gardens, where military honors will be conducted by local veteran's organizations. Friends and relatives may call at Johnson Mortuary for visitations from 1-5 p.m. today.
