Francis John Stoms age 67 of Quinton passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, January 9, 2011.

Born and a life long resident of Salem County, he was the son of the late Francis and Jeanette (Vincent) Stoms.

Francis retired after 36 years of service as a trailer spotter for Mannington Mills. He was an avid bowler and a member of the Mannington Mills Bowling League and throughout his life he raced streetcars and trucks. Francis was also a life member of the Quinton Fire Co., and served at one time as Third Assistant Chief and was a delegate for the Relief Association of NJ.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Alice Carole (Plummer) Stoms, his devoted children, Stephanie (Brian) Robison, Sherry (Joseph) Elwell, Stacy (Bobby) Robinson, John Wayne (Wendy) Stoms, five grandchildren, Shelby and Jagger Stoms, Macy and Mason Elwell and McKena Robinson, sisters, Barbara (Thomas) Pickering, Lorraine (Edward) Koppenaal, Sharon-Lee (Steve) Hepperle and Mary Ann (Joseph) Elfers. In addition to his parents he was also predeceased by brothers Billy and Paul Stoms.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 12 noon in H.T. Layton Funeral Home, 102 South Main Street, Woodstown, NJ. A viewing will be held on Friday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Lawnside Cemetery, Pilesgrove,NJ
