Patrick J. McGinley, 50, of 209 South Walnut Street, died in a local hospital early Sunday morning, after a brief illness. Born in Ireland, McGinley had been in the United States for 30 years, and shift boss at the Potash Company of America mine here for the last seven years.
BROTHER IN IRELAND
He is survived by his widow, a daughter Annice, who teaches in the Flagstaff, Ariz., high school; three sons, James and Francis of the home address, both Carlsbad high school students, and Patrick, Jr., of El Paso; a niece, Patricia Haney, who makes her home with the McGinleys: two sisters and a brother who live in Ireland.
McGinley was born September 7, 1889, in Ireland. He and his family came to Carlsbad from Miami, Arizona, in 1932.
Rosary service will be held at the West Chapel Tuesday at 7 p.m., and funeral mass will be held at St. Edwards Catholic Church at 9 a.m. Wednesday, with Father Clement Orth in charge.

Rosary services for Patrick J. McGinley, 50, who died in a hospital here early Sunday, will be held at 7 o'clock tonight in the West Chapel. Funeral mass will be conducted in St. Edwards Catholic Church at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning by Father Clement Orth.
Irish-born, Mr. McGinley had lived in this country 30 years. He came to Carlsbad with his family seven years ago, to work as shift boss at the Potash Company of America mine.

Surviving are his widow, a daughter Annice of Flagstaff, Ariz.; three sons, James and Francis of Carlsbad and Patrick, Jr., of El Paso; a niece, Patricia Haney of Carlsbad; two sisters and a brother in Ireland.
Pallbearers will be Cliff Horne, Fritz Priesnitz, Andrew Kangas, Jack Johns, Walter Hurley and Charlie Battiste.
