DRISCOLL — Glen Aichele, 70, Driscoll, died Feb. 23, 2011. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at Driscoll Community Hall, with the Rev. Lisa Ahlness officiating. burial will be held in Driscoll Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E. Divide Ave., Bismarck, and will continue one hour prior to the service.

Glen was born Dec. 6, 1940, in Tuttle, and moved to Driscoll when he was 1 year old. He was the son of Fred Aichele and Tillie (Auch) Aichele. He attended grades 1-8 at Thelma Township Country School and graduated from Driscoll High School. He served 15 months in the army until his honorable discharge. Glen took over the family farm in 1965, when his father was killed in a car accident.

On May 27, 1966, he married Jean Melbo. They had four daughters, Linda, Glenda, Tammy and Lori.

Glen was an active member of Driscoll Men's Club and Driscoll Wildlife Club. He had served on the Driscoll School Board, Sterling Fire Department and Sterling Farmer's Union Board. He enjoyed deer hunting, having coffee at the cafe and playing cards and dice with his buddies. He had special time with his grandkids riding in the tractor and four-wheeler and playing in the sandpile.

Glen is survived by his wife, Jean, Driscoll; his daughters, Linda (Troy) Langmaack, Minot, Glenda (Monte) Hochhalter, Steele, Tammy (Jeff) Inglis, Regan, and Lori (Chris) Baumgartner, Hague; he also had five grandchildren, Justin and Ryan Inglis and Cody, Derrick and Kaitlyn Baumgartner; his mother, Tillie Aichele, Bismarck; brothers and sisters, Bernell Aichele, Roy (JoEllen) Aichele, Floyd (Beverly) Aichele, Luella (Ben) Rath, Shirley (Ron) Hankel and Lee Allen Aichele; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Aichele; brother-in-law, Gerald Buck; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Aichele.
