CURTIS W. CHANDLER,
91, of Corbin passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at his home.

He was a U.S. Army Air Force Veteran of World War II in Italy. He was a navigator with rank of 1st Lt. Receiving several high decorations and special recognition from the French government.

Curt had been a teacher in the Corbin School System, had worked at First National Bank, and operated NAPA Auto Parts stores in Corbin and Harlan. He was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church and a life member of the VFW and American Legion in Corbin.

He is survived by his wife, Edna Thomas Chandler; two children, James A. Chandler and wife Sharon, and Coralie Gallucci and husband Mike all of Lexington; two granddaughters, Hannah and Christina; a sister, Betty Northcutt of Chattanooga, TN; and two stepsons, Eldon and Larry Thomas.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 2 in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Thompson officiating.

The family will receive friends after 1 p.m. Saturday at O'Neil Funeral Home.
