LINDA GAIL AUSTIN
CANDLER – Linda Gail Austin, 59, of Sluder Branch Road, died unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, February 23, 2011.
A native of Buncombe Co., she is the daughter of Frances Moody Watts and of the late John Howard Watts.
Mrs. Austin was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. She was a cosmetologist for 22 years, where she cherished her clients as friends.
After retirement, her life was devoted to her family. Her granddaughters were the light of her life.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Austin is survived by her husband, Michael "Mickey" Steven Austin; daughter Stephanie Allen and husband Brad; son M. Steven Austin II and wife Cathi; granddaughters Briana Allen, Brooklyn Allen, Madison Austin, and Abbi Pittman; sisters Peggy Grant and Phyllis Raper; brother David "Buck" Watts; and by many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Edgewood Baptist Church, with the Rev. Lewis Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at New Morgan Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
