Welcomed at Selman Held by their families and scores of friends, the bright - eyed youths' faces beamed with delight, as they were transferred fiom Pan-Am Southern's Corps plane to nearby stretchers. Within thirty minutes after the plane landed at 10:50 a. m , both boys were enroute to their homes accompanied by nurses and their parents. Trip Home Dewitt Tilden of New* Orleans who has adopted the polio ward at Charity Hospital and works with New Orleans' Young Men's Business Club, and James Nelson, chairman of the asso iation, made the trip possible for Charles and Billy. Mr. Tilden explained, "everything went over swell and we had a wonderful trip up here." He is remaining here with the Parry family over the week-end and will accompany Charles and Billy hack to the polio center in New Orleans Monday.

He first joined the Legion as a Charter Member of New Orleans, La. Post 243 in 1942; transferred to New Orleans Post 229 in 1943 and served as Post Commander. In 1946-'47 was appointed an Area Commander of the Dept. of Louisiana; in 1954-'55 he served as Grand Chef de Gare, 40/8, of Louisiana.
