Clark Everett Abbott, Retired U.S. Navy, age 68, died Tuesday, August 29, 2006.
Mr. Abbott was born April 16, 1938, in Franklin County, MS. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and, after two tours of duty in Pensacola, retired after 20 years of service to his country. After retirement from the navy, he became employed at NADAP where he served diligently for 17 years. He united with the Zion Hope Primitive Baptist Church, July 12, 1992 under the pastorage of Elder Bernard C. Yates.
He is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 25 years, Ernestine Abbott; three sons, Donald Abbott, Austin, TX, Johnny (Glenda) Abbott, Mississippi, and Roosevelt (Wendy) Henderson, Northern, VA; a daughter, Theresa (Anthony) Peace, Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren, Parrish and Denzell; a brother, James (Bernice) Abbott, Baton Rouge, LA; three sisters, Mary Abbott Curtis, Natchez, MS, Lillie Abbott Garrett and Marzell Hannon, Roxie, MS; two brothers-in-law, Cleveland (Frances) Johnson and William Johnson, both of Pensacola; as well as numerous Nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
