Betty Lou was a daughter of Anthony Ziegler and Margaret Boushow. She married Earl B. Chapman on June 14, 1952. and they had 3 children. Betty was a member of the Victory Temple Church of God in Monroe, Michigan. Betty was also our piano player at our church.

Betty was my mom's best friend and she was a friend to me too. We all went to Bible studies and prayer meetings. Together Betty and my mom Pauline B. Strouss would go to garage sales to buy jewelry and resell it at the flea markets. Sometimes I would go with them and we all had great fun.

Betty and I went and knocked on doors to invite people to church. We would also leave Bible Tracts on doors sometimes she and I would be out 2 hours at a time. Once we came upon a big dog who ran after us. We were so afraid that we would be attacked. Betty started loudly praying the dog stood still then ran in the other direction.

Survivors include husband Earl (Buddy), 2 sons, Jeff (Carolyn) of Monroe and Randy (Shelley) of Yorktown, VA, a daughter, Lisa (Rick) Rollman of Monroe, and 7 grandchildren. Sisters, Mrs. Wade (Jenny Lee) Maddox, Mrs. George(Anna Mae) Fleeman, Mrs. Roger (Margaret Ann) Mackey, and Ms. Laurie Kay Schultz, all of Monroe.

She was age 75 when she went to be with Jesus. Mom took Betty out to eat every year on her Birthday. Betty also took mom out on her Birthday.

Betty died from cancer.

Road To Eternity

Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
To sweet Eternity.

We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
But never meant to stay…

Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know,
For some the journey's quicker,
For some, the journey's slow.

But when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the Lord.
