Pelatiah was the son of Lt. George Davey and Eleanor Ann Culver.

He married Miss Mary Ella Todd in Bangor, Van Buren, MI on 1 July 1877.

P.BURR DAVEY BURIED HERE WEDNESDAY
FORMER PETERSBURG BUSINESS MAN DIED SUNDAY EVENING AT PORT HURON

Pelatiah Burr Davey was born October 7, 1854, at Hudson, Ohio and passed away at his home in Port Huron Sunday evening, March 16, 1930, at the age of 75 years, 5 months and nine days.
He was united in marriage July 1, 1877, at Bangor, MI to Miss Ella Todd, and to this union five children were born- Marion, Emory, George, Mary and Ella. The family came to Petersburg April 1, 1889, Mr. Davey engaging in the milling
business with H.H. Lantz under the firm name of Lantz & Davey. Later the partnership was dissolved and Mr. Davey purchased the Spalding interest in the Water Mill. Some time after he bought the Daniel Fisher interest in this mill
and operated it for a number of years under the firm name of P.B. Davey & Co.
Mrs. Davey passed away Oct. 28, 1906, and later Mr. Davey, with the two daughters, removed to Dixion, ILL. He was united in marriage to Miss Bertha Langley at Courtland, Ohio, in August, 1914. Mr. Davey and wife removed to Port
Huron, Mich., where he operated a grocery and meat market until about two years ago, when he disposed of his store, and since that time had resided at 527 Erie St., where his death occured.
Funeral services were conducted at his residence by Port Huron Lodge No. 58, F. & A.M., of which he was a member. Representatives of that lodge accompanied the remains here, buriel being in the family lot in the Petersburg cemetery under the auspices of Blanchard Lodge No. 102. Among those from away attending the services at the cemetery were his wife, granddaughter (Edna Allen)and several friends from Port Huron; Mr. and Mrs. George Davey and family, of Detroit; Mr. and Mrs. Marion Davey and Mr. and Mrs. Emil Garbe, of Toledo; Mrs. White and son, of Warren, O.; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hewes and daughter, of Painesville; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hewes, of Cleveland; Mr. and Mrs. Anton Haman and family and Mabel Davey, of Monroe; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gentz and son, of Blissfield.
