George Omer Moore, 84, of Salvisa died Thursday,April 34, 2009 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medial Center,Danville.
Born April 7, 1925 in Mercer County, he was the husband of Lala Jefferies Moore and a son of the late Redmon and Omie Holman Moore. He Served the Marine Corps during World War II; was retired from Kentucky Highway Department and was a member of Salvisa Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Omer Moore of Salvisa; five grandchildren, Jessica Moore, Stephanie Harley, Chris Chasteen, Bryn Fallis and Kayla Fallis; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Eulas Moore of Lawrenceburg.
Funeral services were Saturday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, by the Rev. Vickie Ray and burial was in Kirkwood Cemetery, Salvisa. Pallbearers were Don Moore, Bryn Fallis, Koty Harley, Lynn Carlton, Ronnie Broce and Kenny Quallis. Honorary beareres were Hugh Otis, Fred Quallis, Curtis Currens, William Otis, and the Men of Salvisa Christian Church.
