Mrs. 'Margaret Rowe, 80, passed
away July 14 at Lacock nursing
home. She had been in failing
health for about a year.
Funeral services were conducted
at the North English Methodist
church Saturday, July 16, with
the Rev. F. B. Hebrun officiating.
Mrs. Al Johnson and Mrs. Dean
Thomas sang the hymns, accompanied
by Mrs, Pearl Warner Interment was in the North English
cemetery. Wayne Wade, Earl
Wiggins, George H. Smith, Warren
Wade, John Garringer and
Ray N. Claypool were pallbearers
Mrs. Rowe was born on a farm
near North English on April 17.
1875, a daughter of,. Martha and
Jacob Doll. She was baptized in
the Methodist faith and was a
devoted member throughout her
life. She attended church regularly
until about a year ago when
health prevented attendance. She married George S. Rowe in
1899.
She was a member of the Iowa
Rebekah lodge, Surviving are 6 children, Mrs C.E Vandyke,A. Elling and Mrs. E, G.
Grieman, 'both of Gamer, la., Roy
and Kenneth Rowe of North English
vicinity, and Charles of Vallejo,
Calif.; 8 grandchildren and
9 great grandchildren,
She was preceded in death by
her husband, George, a son Rex
and another child who died in
infancy and'a grandchild, Robert
Plank.
