NAMPA - Graveside services for Laura Jane Butt, 95, of 8211 Ustick formerly of Nampa, who died March 15, in a Boise nursing home, will be at 1 p m. Friday in Kohlerlawn Cemetery, under the direction of Alsip Funeral Nampa. Friends may meet at the cemetery
She was born Jan. 28, 1887 in Elm River, Ill., to Melvin and Martha Best. She was reared and educated in Illinois. She graduated from Teachers College in Illinois. She moved to Southern California with her family in a covered wagon. She taught in California. She later moved to Nampa and married Vance Butte They farmed Nampa and Caldwell for many years. Her husband died in February 1938. She owned and operated Woodrock Nursery in Nampa for several years. She moved to Yakima, Wash., in 1970 and to Boise in 1984.
Survivors include two sisters, Beatrice Perkins of Boise and Carrie Spaulding of Illinois; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter and a son.
