Funeral services for Lucille Hight of McMinnville will take place at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, in the chapel of Macy & Son Funeral Directors. Rev. Lon Eckdahl will officiate.
Visitation is scheduled for noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, in the chapel. Interment is planned in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in McMinnville.
Mrs. Hight died in her home on Friday, Aug. 19, 2005. She was 88.
Born in McMinnville, on March 14, 1917, she was the daughter of James and Flora (Hutchins) Derby. She married John Hight on Dec. 26, 1935 - the day after Christmas.
She worked at a glove factory in Carlton. She also drove milk-delivery routes in Amity, Sheridan, Grand Ronde and Ballston for the family business.
Mrs. Hight was a member of the First Christian and Nazarene churches. She loved gardening, canning and singing. She also enjoyed traveling, painting, camping and visiting people, especially the elderly.
Survivors include her daughters, Margie Dolson and Anita Evans both of Beaverton and Joan Bennette of Portland; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992, and by two sisters, Gladys and Golda.
