GRANGER - Arthur B. Dew, 96, passed away at 4:16 a.m. Wednesday (February 23, 2011) in his residence. Mr. Dew was born on March 7, 1914, to H.T. and T.Y. (Chou) Dew in Tainan, Taiwan. He married Rosalind Lui on February 15, 1936. She passed away on July 5, 2010. Surviving are two sons, Dr. Daniel (Jane) Dew of Granger, Indiana, and Dr. Paul (Rachel) Dew of Kansas City, Kansas; a daughter, Phoebe (Daniel) Law of Malvern, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Grace Dew. Arthur Dew worked as an electrical engineer in Hong Kong. Mr. Dew retired and immigrated with his wife Rosalind to the United States in 1973. They had lived in Elkhart, IN, Houston, TX, Nashville, TN, and Malvern, PA, before moving back to Granger, Indiana, in 2010. His memorial service is scheduled for March 1st 2011, in the Michiana Chinese Christian Church, located at 11805 Loughlin Drive, Mishawaka, IN 46545, 574-256-9422. The service will be from 1:00 to 2:15 p.m., with viewing starting at 12:30 p.m. Dr. Daniel Gelatt will officiate. The burial will take place at Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Michiana Chinese Christian Church (MCCC) Memorial Fund. Online condolences may be sent to [email protected].
