Mrs. A.J. George is laid to rest
Funeral services for Mrs. A. J. George, wife of the (Engineer at City of Fayetteville water treatment plant) pump station engineer, Andy George, were held, Monday with Rev. J.W. Workman officiating. Mrs. George whose death occurred Sunday night, had been ill in health for seven years. She was born March 14, 1876, at Greenville, (Greeneville) Tenn,. and came to Fayetteville when a child.
She is survived by her husband and eight children, five boys and three girls, six of whom are at home. She leaves also three sisters and five brothers.
Children are Harry of Missouri, Rina, Joe, Henry, Lena Lee, Rex, Raymond and Etha Lula.
Brothers are Will Payne of Fayetteville, Boy (Bob) Payne of California and Joe Payne of Missouri. Sisters are Mrs. Norman of Florida, Mrs. F. Cravens of California, Mrs. Ed Walker of Oklahoma and Mrs. Macy Myres (Mary Myers) of Joplin, Mo.
