Leland Freiburghaus, 79 of Nampa, entered peacefully into the presence of the Lord, having passed away at a Meridian hospital on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006, at the Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Ave. So., Nampa. Burial will follow at the Kohlerlawn Cemetery, Nampa.
Friends may call at the funeral chapel on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. and on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.
Leland was born on April 10, 1926, in Madison, S.D. Leland, his parents, Wilbur and Elsie, brother, Lyle and sister, Mary Ann all moved to Idaho in 1942. In 1948, Leland began his lifelong occupation of being the owner and operator of Valley Cinder Co., which he continued to operate until his passing.
Leland enjoyed working with all kinds of equipment and never shied away from hard work. He had a deep love for God and enjoyed sharing many testimonies anytime. He was very compassionate, kind and generous whenever he was aware of needs in people's lives.
Leland is survived by a sister, Mary Ann Herod, 3 nephews and 1 niece. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lyle. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
