John W. Cornilles
      NAMPA—John W. Cornilles, 89, former Nampa resident, died Tuesday in Milwaukie, Ore.
      Born June 24, 1868, Mr. Cornilles was a section foreman for the Union Pacific railroad until his retirement in 1938. He also worked for the Oregon Shortline, beginning in 1900.
      Mr. Cornilles was married to Evalena McLaughlin in Douglas, Wyo., May 27, 1893. They moved to Idaho Falls two years later and then came to Canyon county in 1897. He lived in Pennsylvania, Nebraska, Iowa and Wyoming as a young man. He died at the home of his son Don in Oregon after a long illness. He had resided there for a year and a half. Mr. Cornilles was a member of the Nampa IOOF lodge and the Nampa LDS Fourth ward.
      Survivors, in addition to his wife in Milwaukie, include five sons, Don, Harry and Ed of Milwaukie, C. T. of Nampa and John Cornilles, address unknown; four daughters, Mrs. Julia Hansen, Mrs. Aileene Ballard and Mrs. Josephine Kling, all of Nampa; Mrs. Viola Pinder, Eugene, Ore.; 19 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
      Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the LDS Fourth ward here with interment at Kohlerlawn.
