Jean Seifried, a resident of Eureka Springs, AR, was born April 12, 1938 in Compton, CA, a daughter of Floras Frank and Daisy Elizabeth (Lee) Galeener. She departed this life Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at her home in Eureka Springs, at the age of 72.

Jean was a teacher, production management specialist at Tinker Air Force Base, an artist and musician/vocalist. She attended First Presbyterian Church in Eureka Springs and was a member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Eureka Springs. Jean was a member of the Mutual UFO Network, State Director for the Oklahoma Chapter of the Mutual UFO Network and a Co-Director of the annual Eureka Springs UFO Conference. She was a singer in the Ozark Chorale and the First Presbyterian Church.

On April 13, 1993, Jean was united in marriage with Richard Dwight Seifried who survives her of the home. She is also survived by one daughter, Brenda Jean and husband Ed Christman of Riverview, FL; two sons, Wade Alan Waller of Oklahoma City, OK and Kent Lee Waller and wife Gretchen Holman of Stuttgart, Germany; one brother, George Harold Galeener and wife Linda of Springfield, MO; one sister, Patricia Ann and husband Chris Olsen of California; and a host of other family and friends.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Floras Frank and Daisy Elizabeth Galeener; one daughter, Zina Ann Waller; and one brother, Frank Lee Galeener.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church with Reverend Clare Kelley officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service, Inc. Memorial donations may be made to the Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma Society, Post Office Box 657, Fayetteville, AR 72702.
