Pioneer Answers Summons - Belgium Resident Passes Away on Thursday of Last Week - Math Flerchinger, a life long and well known resident of the town of Belgium, passed away in death at his home there at eleven o'clock last Thursday forenoon.

Mr. Flerchinger was born in Belgium, Wis., on March 1, 1848 and attained an age of 69 years, 1 month and four days. He was married to Miss Justine Peach on Feb. 24, 1884. Their union was blessed with 10 children of whom 3 preceded their father in death. The surviving children are Henry and John at home, Edward of Washington, Mrs. Leo Orlik of Milwaukee, Mrs. John P. Decker of Fredonia, Misses Daisy and Mary at home. He also leaves his grief stricken widow, two brothers and one sister, J. P. Flerchinger of Belgium and N. D. and Nic Ferchinger of Lewiston, Idaho.

He was one of the first members of the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin and is remembered by the pioneers as a devoted worker for the cause.

The funeral was held on Monday morning, services being conducted at the St. Mary's church at Lake Church. The following clergymen officiated: Rev. P. W. Gersbach, Rev. J. Krieg, and Rev. (??) of Milwaukee. The pall bearers were: Nic Thol, N. J. Knaff, P. May, C. Antoine, L. Strauss, J. Croatt all members of the Catholic Knights.
