Charles E. Moon was born in Marshall Co. Iowa, October 21 1872 and died at Ft. Dodge with Brights disease September 23, 1910 aged 37 years 11 mo. and 2 days. He was well known among E. G. people as he has lived here since February 1878, moving to Ft. D. about a year ago. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. About thirty of the union attended the funeral here as a testimony to the departed friend. He was married Oct 20, 1897.

Mr. Moon was a dutiful son, brother and a loving husband and father and leaves many friends who mourn his untimely death. Besides the wife and little daughter, age 10, a mother, four brothers and two sisters sit in sorrow and sadness for the one whom God has called. The friends of the family extend their sympathy and prayers to the bereaved. Rev. A. Fauguet of the Baptist church preached the funeral sermon and the interment was at the E. G. cemtery Sunday Sept. 25.
