Dr. Robert Law Williams, son of Carrie E. Williams and Edgar H. Williams, was united in marriage to Vera Ogren Williams on February 4, 1931 at Algona, Iowa. There were no children born to this union. Robert L. Williams graduated from Ft. Dodge High School, and attended Dartmouth College before serving in the U.S. Army during World War I.
He finished his medical schooling at Iowa City, Iowa and came to Lakota in 1929, taking over the practice of Dr. Schuell. They lived in Lakota until 1957 with the exception of two years he spent in the U.S. Army as a medical doctor. They retired in Rodgers, Arkansas, where they spent their winters, their summers were spent near Red Lake, Ontario, Canada.
