Dundas Star, Wednesday 9 March 1910 DIED IN WISCONSIN
Many will regret to learn of the death of a former resident of this locality in the person of Mr Thos K Morden at West Superior WI where he had resided for many years. On Saturday last relatives here were apprised of his serious illness. Sunday evening his 2 sisters Mrs Wm Lawson and Mrs Geo Stonehouse left for there but on Monday before they had reached their destination a dispatch was received announcing his death.

Mr Morden was a very large man and of a jovial nature and when here less than 2 years ago will be remembered by many having come to bury his father at that time renewing many old acquaintances as well as making many new friends.

He leaves a wife but no family. He was about 45 years of age, born at Rock Chapel.

The Dundas Star of March 16, 1910 printed that The Superior (Wis) News-Tribune of Tues March 8 contained the following paticulars relating to the death of Thomas K Morden (in additional to those in the Star last week), whom many knew here, he being a native of Rock Chapel

The funeral of the late Thomas K Morden will be held from Eagles Hall tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. The body will be taken from the home, 1608 Broadway, at 10 o'clock in the morning and will lie in state until the hour of the funeral. Father M W Ross of St Albans will conduct the services which will be in charge of the Eagles and Red Men Lodges of which he was a prominent member.

Mr Morden died yesterday morning at a local hospital after an illness following an operation performed last week. In addition to his wife he leaves 2 sisters: Mrs George Stonehouse and Mrs William Lawson both of Dundas Ontario and an uncle Thos K Knox of Saskatoon, Sask. The deceased was 46 years of age and had been a resident of Superior for a score of years. During most of that period he conducted a retail liquor store. He was a native of Canada. JCS
