Laura Belle Hughes Baggett, 77, Palmyra, died Saturday, February 26, 2011, at Doctors Hospital, Agusta, GA, while visiting with her son in Georgia.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Canaan Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Hughes and Rev. David Mackens officiating.
Burial will be in First Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel and from 9:30 until the hour of service Wednesday at First Canaan Baptist Church.
McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born November 1, 1933 in Montgomery County and was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Golda Belle Crawford Hughes; husband, James Otis Baggett; and her daughter, Brenda Baggett.
Mrs. Baggett was retired from Montgomery County Schools where she was in Food Service at Montgomery Central. She was a member of First Canaan Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Randy (April) Baggett, Evans, GA; daughters, Shirley (Jerry) Moore, Barbara McNew, and Carolyn (Mike) Barnett, all of Palmyra; brother, Richard Hughes, Clarksville; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Baggett, Jacob Baggett, Mike Barnett, Andy Hughes, John Hughes, David Lynch, Kyle Jones and Johnathan Hughes.
