Casey was born in Winchester, Virginia, on July 2, 1975, and was raised in Charlottesville and attended Charlottesville City Schools. She was a graduate of Jonhson and Wailes Culinary Institute in St. Louis, Missouri.
Casey is survived by her husband, Robert Sawyer of Norfolk, Virginia; son, Thorin Bein of Collington, North Carolina; daughter, Isabella Luck of Virginia Beach, Virginia; parents, Jim and Kathy Hoff of Charlottesville, Virginia; sister, Patricia Hoff DeFranzo and brother-in-law, Angelo, and nephew, Louis, of Fort Bragg, North Carolina; brother, William Hoff of Fort Drum, New York; sister-in-law, Christine Sawyer-Wood and niece, Sabrina, of Melbourne, Florida; brother-in-law, Stacey Sawyer of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Casey was a loving and caring wife, daughter, mother, sister, niece, aunt, and friend. She loved life and lived it to the fullest.
Services will be held at Holloman-Brown Bayside Chapel in Virginia Beach, 4 p.m. Wednesday March 2, 2011, with the Reverend Shepherd officiating.
