Margaret M. Williams, 88, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Monday, February 28, 2011, at Trinity Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 3rd, at 10: a.m. in the Chapel of the

Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, where there will be a Catholic Daughters of Americas Rosary at 4:30 p.m. and vigil at 7:00 p.m. all at the funeral home.

She is survived by her daughter, Mari Holst of House Springs, MO; step-daughter, Karen Shipman of Fort Dodge; step-son, Kenny (Doc) Williams of Fort Dodge; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sisters, Ellen Barmore and her husband Earl of Humboldt; and Jean Wellen of Humboldt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ella (Lahiff) Meyer; very special aunt and uncle, Frank and Kathryn Coughlon; her first husband, Joe Martin; second husband, James M. Williams; step-son Fred Williams; sister, Mary Coffman; brothers, Cliff, Paul, Althea, and Don Meyer; 1 great grandchild; brother-in-law; Dale Wellen and Robert Coffman; sister-in-laws, Florence Meyer, Mary Ann Meyer, and Erema Meyer.

Margaret Mary Meyer was born on September 16, 1922, in Clare, IA. She was raised and educated in Clare, graduating from St. Matthews High School in 1940. Margaret then attended and graduated from Tobin Business College in 1942. She worked for the Webster County Court System, Law Library, and the Webster County Auditor's Office. In 1945, she was united in marriage to Joe Martin. In 1952, the couple made their home in California. Joe passed away in 1963. Margaret returned to Humboldt in 1964. She worked for the Humboldt Creamery. In 1966 she moved to Fort Dodge. On July 24, 1968, she was united in marriage to James (Jim) Williams in Denver, CO. The couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Margaret and Jim owned and operated the former Black Knight, Lamplighter, and the Sandstone Restaurant.

She retired in 1997. Margaret was a member of the Holy Trinity Parish, the Catholic Daughters of America, a past Lioness; and also a past member of the Fort Dodge Homebuilders Association.
