Mrs. McGuire taught in Republic County, Glasco, Mankato and Wamego schools.
She was born April 7, 1918, at Talmo, the daughter of Watson M. and Addie M. Acheson Way. She attended Republic County schools and was graduated with a teaching degree from Emporia State Teachers College.
Mrs. McGuire was a member of the United Methodist Church and Wamego Chapter No. 76 of the Order of Eastern Star, both in Wamego.
She was married to Donald L. McGuire on Dec. 26, 1947, at Talmo. He died July 28, 1984.
Survivors include a brother, Neal W. Way, Independence, Missouri.
Services will be at 2 p.m. followed by Star services Tuesday at R.J. Evans Mortuary in Wamego. Burial will be in Wamego City Cemetery. Mrs. McGuire will lie in state from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday at the mortuary, where family and friends will meet from 7 until 8 p.m. Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospitals in care of the mortuary.
