MILLBURY - Harry F. Carroll, 56, of 5 May St, formerly of Worcester, died Tuesday in his home after an illness.
He leaves his wife, Rosemary E. (Lalone) Carroll; a son, Michael J. Carroll of Shrewsbury; two daughters, Susan E. O'Malley of North Kingston, R.I. and Maura A. Carroll of Millbury; a brother, Russell J. Carroll ofWorcester; a sister, Margaret M. McNamara of Auburn; five grandchildren; and nephews and nieces.
He was born in Worcester, a son of P; Harry and Mildred M. (Sullivan) Carroll, and lived on Fairmont Avenue in Worcester many years before moving to Millbury four years ago. His father was a Worcester patrolman.
Mr. Carroll worked for Massachusetts Electric Co. 34 years. He was a lineman 31 years and a foreman for the last three years. He retired in August.
He served in the Army from 1953 to 1956.
Mr. Carroll was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes parish in Worcester, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and Alhambra Council, Knights of Columbus.
The funeral will be held tomorrow from Athy Memorial Home; 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St. Worcester. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester.
Calling hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
