Orpha Warren, 89, of Olive Branch, died at 8:55 a.m. Monday, Oct 4,1999 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born on Oct 17, 1909, in Alexander County, the daughter of Lorenzo and Irene Durham Bedwell. She married Howard E. Warren, who preceded her in death on Dec 21,1988.
She and her husband were 50 year members of the Alexander Free Will Baptist Church where she was pianist and he was deacon.
She is survived by a daughter, Juanita Foster of Olive Branch, four sons, Russell of Olive Branch, Paul of South Roxana, Harlie of Olive Branch and Eldon Warren of South Roxana; two sisters, Evelyn McGhee of Brighton and Norma Tupper of East Alton; and numerous grandchildren.
In addition to ther parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Farris Emery, and by two sisters and one brother. Funeral Services for Orpha Warren were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct 6, at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms with the Rev. Dale Billingsley, the Rev.Ernest Brown and the Rev. Carl Hester officiating. Interment followed in Olive Branch Cemetery. Crain funeral home in Tamms was in charge of arrangements.
