Andrew K. Rohanna, 77 years, died suddenly Wednesday, April 8, 1959, in his home on North Porter street. She was a son of Kalil A. and Nora Abi-Hila Rohanna, and was born in Beit Mery, Lebanon. He had lived in the Mannington, W. Va., area for several years before moving to the Spraggs and Waynesburg communities. Mr. Rohanna was a retired farmer and stock raiser, conducted a retail dry goods service for several years, and was well known throughout the county. He had stores in West Waynesburg and Spraggs. Mr. Rohanna was president of Rohanna Iron and Metal, Inc., founded in 1939, and was associated with his son in operation of Rohanna's Restaurant and Golf Course. He was a member of St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church and of the Holy Name Society of the church. Surviving are his wife; seven sons, Kay A. Rohanna of Waynesburg R. D. 2; Isaac Rohanna of Waynesburg; Woodrow Rohanna of Waynesburg R. D. 3; Joseph Rohanna of Waynesburg R. D. 3; Edward Rohanna of Gettysburg; Andrew K. Rohanna, Jr., of Waynesburg, and Robert Rohanna, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Joseph Wakim of Waynesburg; two brothers, Salem Rohanna of Detroit, Mich., and Kaiser Rohanna of Lebanon; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Abou Samra and Miss Afifi of Lebann; and 27 grandchildren. Two brothers and one grandchild are deceased. Requiem high mass was sung Saturday in St. Ann's Church by Father Thomas H. Murphy. Interment in St. Ann's Cemetery.
