Frederick "Earl" Garrtson, 68, of Hollister, Missouri (formerly of Olney), died in Madison County, Arkansas on Tuesday, August 28.

Services are being handled by Zirkie Funeral Home in Olney.

Mr. Garretson's body will be cremated. Private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Garretson was born on November 21, 1921 in Jackson County, West Virginia to Frank James Garretson and Dillie Blanche Meadows) Garretson. He later married Catherine Fretwell on July 27, 1940 in Akron, Ohio.

Mr. Garretson was a field man for the Haliburton Company and had also been a schoolbus driver for the West Richland School District and also for Tanny County in Missouri.

He was a member of the Masons and the Shriners in the West Virginia area. He was also a native veteran of World War II.

Mr. Garretson is survived by his wife Catherine and one son, F. E. "Bo," Jr. of Nashville, Tennessee and by two daughters, Mrs. Carl "Judy" Brewer, of Olney, and Rebecca Sue Bossart of Nashville, Tennessee.

Mr. Garretson is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Johnny "Elah" Noll, of Ravenswood, West Virginia and Mrs. Ross "Lurline" Cobb of Hilliard, Ohio. Also by one sister-in-law, Mrs. Marcella Garretson of Ravenswood, West Virginia. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Garretson was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister and one grandson.
