Clairetta Mae Uher Ortmeier was born May 7, 1941 at West Point, NE to Laddie and Adal (Feichtinger)Uher. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge, NE. She attended school and graduated from Dodge High School in 1959. On April 23, 1960, she was united in marriage to W. Jim Ortmeier at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge, NE. The couple lived for a short time at West Point, before moving to Albion where Clairetta worked for an eye doctor. Upon returning to West Point in the mid-1960s' she was employed at Dr. Nyquists Eye clinic and also babysat in her home. She retired in May of 2002 after working with her husband's Auctioneering Business for 15 years. Clairetta was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, it's Ladies Guild, and Christian Mothers. Clairetta enjoyed spending time with her family especially the grandchildren and she also loved animals.
Survivors include; Sons- Todd J. Ortmeier of Nashville, TN, Troy and wife Kristy Ortmeier of West Point, NE 4 grandchildren Brent M. Ortmeier and Shelby K. Ortmeier, Jordan M. Ortmeier, and Hayley A. Ortmeier. Brothers; Gerald Uher of Fremont, Gene and his wife, Judy Uher of Dodge, NE.
Sister: Linda and husband Ralph Metschke of Fremont, NE, several nieces and nephews, Clairetta was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jim on Feb. 26, 2003, 3 brothers, Bernard, John and Laddie, Jr.
