MERLE BISHOP
Services for Merle L. Bishop, 89, Cassville, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Axley's Culver Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Nickle officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, east of Cassville.
Mr. Bishop died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday in the home of Nora Elis, Purdy, where he had received care for several months.
A native of Okeene, Oklahoma, he was a World War I Army veteran who served in France. A retired farmer, he was a member of the Church of God Holiness and a former member of Jenkins VFW.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Muriel Dell of Cassville and Mrs. Mary McPherson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a brother Scott, of Escondido, California; a sister Mrs. Verna Beeson, of Cassville; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. today.
