Royalty. King of Hungary and Bohemia and Titular King of Poland. He was the only son of Wenceslaus II and Jutta of Habsburg that survived their childhood. He was elected and crowned King of Hungary in 1301 but only ruled the north-western part which he lost to Otto of Bavaria in 1305. In the same year he married Viola Elisabeth von Teschen to strengthen his position in Poland. He was murdered in Olomouc while preparing a campaign against Wladyslaw Lokietek. He was the last King from the Přemyslid dynasty. In the political chaos that followed his murder the Luxembourg family was able to take over the throne in Bohemia. He was first buried at the Cathedral of Olomouc and transferred to Zbraslav in 1326.
