The oldest son of Royalston Elijah Perkins and Lola Stallings, born in St. Josephs' Infirmary, Paris, Lamar County, Texas.
He was a Radioman, First Class, on the USS Shark (SS-314), Service Number 2563359, when the submarine was probably sunk by a depth charge attack between Hainnan and Bashi Channel (near the Philippines).
