George Baylor Dunlap was the son of Bailey Dunlap and Sarah Baylor. He married Mary Margaret Mish on 18 Oct 1860 in Virginia.

On the 1870 District 3, Augusta Co., VA census, I found farmer a George B Dunlap, 38; Margaret, 30; Davis, 8; Sallie, 6; Charles, 4; Lucy, 2 and Wallace, 4/12, born in Feb., all VA born.

On the 1880 North River, Augusta Co., VA census, I found farmer George B. Dunlap, 48; wife Mary M. Dunlap, 40; sons or daughters: Davis L. Dunlap, 18; Sallie A. Dunlap, 16; Charles W. Dunlap, 15; Lucy Blair Dunlap, 13; Wm. W. Dunlap, 10; Frank T. Dunlap, 7; Rose C. Dunlap, 4 and Gertrude W. Dunlap, 1, all VA born.

On the 1900 Spring Hill, Augusta Co., VA census, I found farmer George B Dunlap, 67, Jun 1832; wife of 40 years Mary M Dunlap, 59, Jun 1840, had 10 kids all living; sons or daughters: Davis L Dunlap, 39, Sep 1860; Frank T Dunlap, 26, Jun 1873; Rose C Dunlap, 24, Sep 1875; Gertrude W Dunlap, 21, Aug 1878; Florine O Dunlap, 18, Oct 1881; Lillian E Dunlap, 15, Jul 1884 and Wallace Evans, 13, Nov 1886, all VA born.

Mr. Geo. B. Dunlap, another prominent citizen of the county, died suddenly Thursday night last at his home on Middle River, of neuralgia of the heart. His brother Mr. a Robert B. Dunlap, of near Zetta, passed away about a month ago in a similar manne. Mr. Dunlap was about 70 years of age, and was a son of Bailey a Dunlap. He is survived by wife, who was Miss Mish and by four daughters and four sons as follows: Mrs. Wm Dinkle of Carbondale, Colorado, Mr. W, W, Dunlap(,) Oroville, California, Mr. C W Dunlap,of Dalton City, Illinois, Messrs. David and Frank, and misses Rosa and Florine at home, and Miss Earl, a student nurse at the King's Daughters' Hospital, Staunton. He is also survived two brothers in the county. Messes. Madison and Taylor Dunlap, and one sister, Mrs. Dr. J M Hanger of Staunton. The funeral took place from his late residence on Saturday and was conducted by Rev J N Vandeventer.
