Chalmer, 86, Ansonia, passed away at his sisters residence.

He was a son of Melvin T. and Esther L. (Strait) Cruze. He married Maxine Gibson, who preceded him in death.

Surviving are a son, Thomas S., Ansonia; a daughter, Jeri A. (Harlen) Camacho, Greenville; two sisters, Phyllis Caldwell, Greenville and Marjorie (Roger) Cox, Polaris, MT; two grandsons, Chad (Becky) Curtis, and Benjamin (Abbie) Hawes; and two great-grandchildren, Nolan and Leah Curtis.

Deceased are a daughter, Regina L. Hawes; and a sister, Doris A. Cruze.

He was retired from the U.S. Air Force having served as an intelligence officer for over 40 years. He was a member of the Ansonia American Legion and the Greenville VFW.

Services with full military honors by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard will be at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home, Greenville, with Rev. Terry Haworth, officiating.
