Johnnie M. Jenkins, 88, of Leesburg, Florida, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011. He was born August 9, 1922 in New Paris, Ohio. He was a quality control inspector for the US Government. Mr. Jenkins enjoyed fishing, working outdoors in his garden and was very involved with his church. He also worked as a car salesman at Morgan Auto Sales. He was a member of Leesburg Church of the Nazarene and served in the US Navy for 3 years. He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Jenkins of Bedminster, NJ; sons, Ronnie Jenkins (Mark Gleesing) of Franklin, NC; Koby (Lourdes) Jenkins of Naples, FL; 4 grandchildren; and a sister, Alta Dwiggins of Liberty, IN. He was preceded in death by wife, Rosemary Jenkins of 57 years; parents, John and Ida Mae Jenkins and brother Lawrence Jenkins. The family will receive friends and family on Friday, March 4, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will also take place at Leesburg Church of The Nazarene on Saturday, March 5, 2011 from 10:00 to 11:00 am, with a service following at 11:00 am with Pastor Don Shelp officiating. Burial will take place at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
