Mrs. J.R. Jennings relict of the late J.R. Jennings died at her home two miles west of Marion Monday night. She had been confined to her bed with paralysis for several months.
Mrs. Jennings was a Miss Woodruff and was born near Hartford, Conn. She married J.R. Jennings in 1855 and ten children were born to them, eight of whom are living.
Their sons are Walter, who lives in Texas, Wm. who lives in Ark., Frank who lives in Livingston County, Charley and John who lived at the home place with their mother. The daughters Mrs. Lucy Henry of Marion, Mrs. Jessie Catlin, of Illinois, and Miss Hebe Jennings who lived with her mother.
Mrs. Jennings came from Connecticut to Henderson County and taught school, afterwards moved to Union County near Caseyville, and afterwards with her husband to the farm near Marion where she died.
