Margaret "Peg" Beach, 54, of Cheyenne, died Nov. 3 at United Medical Center-West.

She was born Jan. 26, 1949, in Longmont, Colo., and had lived here(in Cheyenne, WY)since 1975.

Since August 1982, she was an elementary teacher in Laramie County School District No. 1, teaching kindergarten and first grade at Corlett (1982-1986), Pioneer Park (1987-1996) and Buffalo Ridge (1996-2003). She loved teaching, she touched the future.

Mrs. Beach was a member of First United Methodist Church, was the teacher's union representative for Buffalo Ridge building and volunteered for Hospice.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Beach of Cheyenne, whom she married in July 1969 in Salt Lake City; a son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Corinne Beach of Bremerton, Wash.; a daughter and son-in-law, Monica and Michael Wilcox of Austin, Texas; her mother, Mildred Persons of Littleton, Colo.; two sisters, Diana Wright of Houston and Judy Faulder of Littleton; a brother, Mark Persons of Dallas; two grandchildren and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Persons; and a brother, William Persons.

Services will be 4 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Janet Forbes officiating.

Cremation will follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Greg Beach, Gale Beach, David Faulder, Mark Persons, Michael Wilcox and Travis Beach.

Friends may contribute to United Medical Center Hospice.

Services are under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
