Fred M. Teachout son of Fred Teachout Sr. and Clara Getchell was born in San Francisco CA in 1918. He was raised in San Francisco and lived in a house his family bought from his Uncle Harry at 1324 Lincoln. Fred was educated at Jefferson Elementary School and Galileo High School. He had one brother, Darryl, and three sisters, Virginia, Elizabeth and Marion. He later went to work for his Uncle. During WWII he worked as an electrician on ships. In 1944 he met his future wife Mary Feininger. On November 17, 1945 they were married at St. Annes Church in San Francisco. They lived at 58 Palm Avenue. Fred continued working as an electrician and then returned to work for his Uncle Harry in his construction Business know as Harry E. Drake Construction. He worked as a finnisher, doing playgrounds, tennis courts and the like. In 1970 he suffered a severe heart attack which ended his career and forced him on to disability. Fred passed away in 1999.
