---Word has reached here of the death of Mrs. Lucy Miles, aged ninety-seven years. Mrs. Miles made La Plata her home for about forty years, but for the past few years she has been at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William McClanahan in Toledo, Ohio. Several weeks ago Mrs. Miles suffered a heart attack but seemed to be better when death came rather suddenly Sunday morning.
---She is survived by four children, Mrs. William McClanahan of Toledo, Ohio, Mrs. Herbert Schliff of Rochester, New York, Charley Narron of La Plata and Ed Narron of Wausau, Wisconsin.
---Her husband preceded her in death.
