Gerald Wayne Elem was born on August 13,1920 to Charles Melton and Gertie Wheeler Elem.
Wayne attended Mooreland school. He served in the United States Army during World War II.
Gerald Wayne Elem and Ora Beryl Brandon were married on December 31,1949 in Woodward, Ok. Most of their married years were spent in Pampa,Tx. and Waynoka, Ok. After retiring in 1980 from the Santa Fe railroad, they moved to Bella Vista, Ar. Wayne loved to golf, ski,fish and bowl. "Pete" and Wayne taught many Jr. High and High School aged kids of Waynoka and the surrounding area to Ski.
Although they did not have any children of their own, almost every kid in town knew who they were and of their interest in the youth of Waynoka. They attended most of the school activities and were very supportive.
Pete and Wayne were members of the Waynoka United Methodist Church.
Pete and Wayne Elem were loved by many and will always be remembered for their kindness and concern for others.
