Mrs. Agnes Megal
Mrs. Agnes Megal, 77, Wausau, a former resident of the Town of Stockton, died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Colonial Manor Nursing Home at Wausau.
An invalid for the last 10 years, she had been a resident at the nursing home for seven years.
Mrs. Megal, the former Agnes Cera, was born in the Town of Stockton April 20, 1887, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Cera. On June 23, 1908, she married Joseph Megal Sr. at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church at Fancher.
They operated a farm southeast of Arnott all their married life. Mr. Megal died in 1951.
Survivors include seven sons, Victor, Joseph, Raymond, Chester and Harry, all of Milwaukee, and Ambrose and Henry, on the homestead; two daughters, Mrs. Roman (Phyllis) Kropidlowski, Amherst Junction, and Mrs. Frank Kaye, Wausau; 34 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; five brothers, Mike, Ed, Joe, Stanley and Jack Cera, all of Milwaukee; and two sisters, Mrs. John (Magdalene) Dreva, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Peter (Rose) Kropidlowski, Menasha: a half-brother, Henry Cera, Menasha; and a half-sister, Mrs. Ben (Laura) Kedrowski, Fancher.
Mrs. Mega] was a member of St. Mary's Church at Fancher and its Rosary Society.
Funeral services are scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's, Fancher. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call at the Jungers Funeral Home at Amherst after 3 p.m. Friday. A general rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Friday and the Rosary Society of St. Mary's parish will say the rosary at 8.
