Ina Higgins, 96, West Salem, Ill, died 4:20 p.m., August 1, 1990 at Richland Memorial Hospital, Olney.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Ingram Funeral Home in West Salem with Bro. David Beaty officiating. Burial will be in Moravian Cemetery, West Salem. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Higgins was born December 23, 1893 in Wabash County, the daughter of William Smith and Ida (Greismer) Smith. She married Arthur Higgins, June 2, 1912 at Pleasant Grove Church in Wabash County. Her husband died Nov. 13, 1978.

She was a homemaker, a member of WCTU and a member of the First Christian Church in West Salem.

Survivors include three daughters, Ruby Matthes and Florence Reid of West Salem and Mildred Knackmuhs of Albion; two sisters, Daisy Kerster and Gladys Giese, both of West Salem; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, twin infant sons, one other infant son, two daughters, Violet Mayes and an unnamed infant daughter; two brothers, Grover and Earl Smith; three sisters, Iva Smith, Sadie Libke and Ella Hossel; and a grandson, Donald Reid.
