Mr. Franklin D. "Frank" Melius, 76, of Heck Road, Bedford, died March 3, 2011 at his home. Mr. Melius was born in Broad Top on July 30, 1934, the son of the late John and Gaynell (Shaffer) Melius. On March 26, 1955, he married Arlene (Turner) Melius. Frank served in the United States Air Force from 1955 - 1963. Frank was employed at Penelec Electric Company. He started as lineman and eventually retired in 1994 as the Bedford District Supervisor.
