PENDLETON - The funeral service for Marvin Eugene Miller was 1 p.m. today Burns Mortuary of Pendleton, followed by a graveside committal service at Olney Cemetery.
Mr. Miller died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004, at his home in Pendleton at the age of 76.
He was born Jan. 29, 1928, at Nampa, Idaho, to Charles and Edith Wagner Miller. He grew up at Nampa and moved to Pendleton after his schooling.
He served two years in the U.S. Army.
He married Martha Turner on June 26, 1954.
Mr. Miller worked as an auto mechanic for Comries of Pendleton and then bought his own auto repair shop, which he ran for about 20 years until his retirement in 2002.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and collecting electric trains.
Mr. Miller was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 922 in Pendleton.
He is survived by his wife at the home; daughters, Teresa Shade and her husband, Richard, of Pendleton, and Loretta Lowrance and her husband, Bill, of Hermiston; a sister, Phyllis Bauer of Homedale, Idaho; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Max.
